The Wake County Energy Advisory Commission, Wake Technical Community College, and the Wake County Public School System hosted an inaugural STEM Career Symposium on February 27th in Raleigh, with 160 students from 15 local high schools participating. Presenters included WTCC faculty, industry professionals in STEM career fields, and educators from local universities. The event highlighted career fields in renewable energy and sustainability, with students engaging in roundtable discussions, interactive breakout sessions, and visiting a career internship fair. Ms. Keith headed up a panel focused on emerging clean energy technologies and the role CLEANcarolinas is playing in the 2-state region supporting the development of an offshore wind supply chain to drive regional economic development and job creation.
